Blake Livelys Golden Globe Tantrum

Blake Livelys Golden Globe TantrumOf course when you have a plethora of celebrities demanding to look perfect some of the those demands are bound to leak out.

Blake Lively reportedly wanted to magically be a size smaller than she is.

Her dress “had to be a size zero” or she wouldn’t wear it for the 2009 Golden Globes. So dressing her was a challenge and handlers for the “Gossip Girl” starlet had to fool her into a bigger sized dress that was still too tight.
From Fashion Week Daily:

Blake Lively allegedly refuses to wear anything but a size zero, causing the “Gossip Girl” costume department to cut the tags from larger-sized samples. Anyone else think her Nina Ricci gown looked a little snug?…

Yes. Yes it did. Not that this girl is big by any means, but I am guessing she didn’t eat for fear that her beef Wellington would be visible as she ingested it.

Bookmark this blog entry. Time and date stamp this. I'll be the first to say it and come this time next year everyone will. Jane Lynch will be a guaranteed lock for a Emmy and Golden globe nomination. Tiny Fey finally will have company at least at the Golden Globes. We'll see if Fox positions Jane Lynch to campaigning for a supporting nomination for a virtual lock or if they decide to push Lynch against Fey in a clash of titans. Regardless, there's a nomination inked in it for her, mark my words. Lynch is stone cold brilliant as Sue Sylvester.

Grammy and Golden Globe Award-Nominated Marshall Crenshaw Performs in Exclusive Chicago Area Event Sept. 25

September 15, 2009 |11:33 | Gossips  By : Team X

Grammy and Golden Globe Award-nominated Marshall Crenshaw, best known for “Someday, Someway” and “Mary Anne”, brings his warm vocals and riveting guitar work to the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie, to kick off Centre East’s 30th Anniversary season Friday, Sept. 25, at 8 p.m.

This marks Crenshaw’s exclusive Chicago area engagement in support of his new album, “Jaggedland,” Crenshaw’s first album in six years.  Marshall Crenshaw is presented as part of the Singer/Songwriter Series, sponsored by WXRT.

Crenshaw says the term “Jaggedland” best describes the current state of his brain and consciousness. Its 12 songs are musical observations about the human experience, mortality, the state of the world and of course, love as viewed through the inimitable Crenshaw perspective. “This album took a lot of wear and tear on my emotions,” says Crenshaw, “but in the end I think it’s one of my best ever…”

As Crenshaw was developing “Jaggedland” he was co-penning the title track to the hilarious, critically acclaimed John C. Reilly film “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.” The track was nominated for a 2008 Golden Globe and a 2008 Grammy Award.

Born in Detroit, Crenshaw began playing guitar at age 10 and he received his first break playing John Lennon in the off-Broadway company of “Beatlemania”. In 1987, he played Buddy Holly in the Richie Valens biopic “La Bamba”.

Living in New York, he recorded the single “Something’s Gonna Happen” for Alan Betrock’s Shake Records, which led to a deal with Warner Bros. His debut album, “Marshall Crenshaw,” was acclaimed as a pop masterpiece upon its release in 1982 and established him as a first-rate songwriter, singer and guitarist. The record spawned the Top 40 single “Someday, Someway.
